After 12 years of playing acoustic drums, I can finally 'hear' my kit at a comfortable level in my home studio. With my isolation headphones, my kit was, of course, muffled when playing along with audio tracks. The EAD10 is a total game-changer. I can hear a crisp stereo image of my drums that quite frankly makes the drums fun to play again. It's much more convenient than going through my full mic setup and DAW to get the same result. I could also see myself using the EAD10 with or without my other drum microphones for recording projects and not just quick takes. The compression and distortion-related presets are really cool.
